Khalid is an associate in the Corporate, Finance, and Investment practice group in King & Spalding's Houston office. He has significant experience in project engineering design, execution, and management in world-class mega projects along with experience with a variety of construction related agreements such as engineering-procurement-construction (EPC), front-end engineering design (FEED), construction management, professional services, procurement, and equipment supply. Khalid's background in engineering and construction management also lends real-world perspective and an added benefit to clients.

Before joining King & Spalding, Khalid worked with Bechtel Corporation in their Oil, Gas & Chemicals and Nuclear, Security & Environmental groups as an engineer and in-house counsel. He was involved in multiple projects including the Wheatstone LNG, Motiva Crude Expansion, and NASA’s ML2 project. Throughout his time on these projects, Khalid led teams to achieve ambitious project goals through all phases of the project, from initial design to commissioning and handover to the client, while consistently being recognized by clients and project management teams for his achievements. 

Khalid is also a registered Patent Attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office and his knowledge and experience with Intellectual Property matters provides an added benefit for clients when dealing with these matters in construction related agreements.
