Brussels
Our Brussels office opened in 2019 and is the firm’s 21st location globally. The lawyers in the office advise companies in the EU and around the world across a broad range of antitrust and competition, international trade and life sciences regulatory matters.
Brussels serves as an EU hub for our international trade team, which includes former WTO and EU officials and other leading global practitioners in Washington, DC, Geneva, Frankfurt and Paris. Our Brussels-based trade team is led by Marie-Sophie Dibling and former European Commission official Hervé Jouanjean, who counsel clients on trade remedy investigations and help them navigate the full spectrum of trade policy and market access issues.
Our Brussels-based Life Sciences team, part of the firm’s 300+ lawyer global practice, is led by Geneviève Michaux and focuses on EU, French and Belgian food and drug law with an emphasis on regulatory issues associated with pharmaceuticals, biologics, medical devices, cosmetics and food.
Clients across a wide array of industries turn to our Brussels office for advice on a range of antitrust and competition matters, including merger control filings to the European Commission and other competition authorities, strategic coordination of multijurisdictional filings around the world, cartel and abuse of dominance investigations, high-stakes litigation and arbitration, cooperation and distribution agreements, and day-to-day advice on competition compliance and risk management. The Brussels antitrust team is led by Salomé Cisnal de Ugarte and works closely with the Firm’s Global Antitrust Group.
