King & Spalding represented Lotus Infrastructure Partners in the sale of its membership interests in the 1.3 GW Compass Power portfolio to Electrify Generating Public Company Limited (EGCO). The Compass Power portfolio consists of three combined cycle natural gas turbine facilities in the Northeast U.S., including Marcus Hook, Milford and Dighton. The K&S team helped Lotus acquire its interests in Marcus Hook in November 2016 and in Milford and Dighton in September 2017, and also helped Lotus sell a 50% interest in the Compass Power portfolio to JERA Co., Inc., a leading operator of power assets worldwide. Lotus is an energy and infrastructure private equity fund based in Greenwich, CT with approximately $7 billion in assets under management. EGCO is the first independent power producer in Thailand, established in 1992 by Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand, and currently has a U.S. portfolio comprising three power facilities.
