India’s biggest local language technology platform, VerSe Innovation, Acquires New York-based Digital Newsstand Magzter

King & Spalding advised VerSe Innovation Private Limited and its affiliates (“VerSe”), the parent firm of Indian news aggregator app Dailyhunt, India’s biggest local language technology platform, in its cross-border acquisition of Magzter, Inc. (“Magzter”), a popular New York-based digital newsstand platform. Magzter maintains partnerships with thousands of large publishers and offers titles such as The New Yorker, The Economist, Vanity Fair and Time and boasts a global active user base of 87 million. This expansion addresses the demand for high-quality premium content for Dailyhunt subscribers. The King & Spalding deal team includes Parveet Singh Gandoak, Daniel Kahan, Eric Nyman, and Hope Sheils.
