Our lawyers have experience with the full range of clean energy assets and technologies, including “conventional” renewable assets (such as solar, wind, sustainable hydro, biomass, geothermal), distributed generation, renewable energy transmission, battery storage, fuel cells, EVs and EV charging infrastructure, RNG and other advanced biofuels, digital utilities, as well as, hydrogen and various carbon capture and sequestration projects and technologies.
We provide full-service solutions to our clean energy and clean tech clients through 360 degree coverage, spanning almost all practice groups and all offices of the firm. Our transactional attorneys regulatory assist clients with complex M&A and private equity transactions, joint ventures, venture and growth capital investments, co-investments, project and acquisition financing, tax equity (ITC, PTC and 45Q) financings, project development, including negotiation of complex project and commercial contracts, solar and environmental credit securitizations, commodities and hedging transactions restructurings, capital markets transactions, IP licensing and corporate governance and advisory matters. Our energy focused litigation colleagues have wide ranging experience in the sector with construction and other commercial disputes as well as investor-state disputes. Our government matters and regulatory colleagues help clients navigate the rapidly evolving global, federal, state and local regulatory and compliance environments, including FERC and other federal energy regulatory matters, state regulatory matters, including RPS, LCFS, tax and environmental credits, net metering and similar regulations, trade matters, CFIUS and other national security considerations as well as relevant climate change and ESG related developments and compliance matters.
