Terra Mareck Cothran is a partner in King & Spalding’s construction and energy transaction practice. Her practice focuses on construction-related agreements, including FEED, EPC, and EPCM contracts (both brownfield and greenfield) for energy and other infrastructure projects.
She has over two decades of experience counseling clients on energy projects across the U.S., Canada, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. Terra’s project experience includes working on upstream (onshore and offshore), LNG, midstream and crude oil pipelines, petrochemical and wind farms. To date, she has handled projects in the aggregate of approximately $125 billion.
Prior to joining King & Spalding, Terra worked in-house as senior counsel at Bechtel Energy focused on negotiating, drafting and administering construction-based contracts for LNG and oil & gas megaprojects, as well as Senior Counsel at Chevron, where she focused on major global capital projects.
Terra is qualified to practice in Canada, and in Texas (as a Foreign Legal Consultant). Not yet admitted in Texas.
