Mikaela Stone focuses her practice on complex patent litigation, both in federal courts and before the Patent Trial & Appeal Board. Her technical background allows her to achieve a level of understanding necessary to develop a winning case strategy.

Mikaela Stone is Counsel in King & Spalding's Denver office and a member of the Trial and Global Disputes Practice Group.  She has litigated high-profile IP matters in district court, the Federal Circuit, and before the Patent Trial & Appeal Board across a variety of technologies, including medical devices, enterprise storage hardware systems and content management platforms, cybersecurity, wireless networks, and design patents.

Mikaela's interdisciplinary experience trying antitrust and trade secret claims, as well as more than fifty PTAB proceedings, uniquely qualifies her for developing creative defensive strategies, particularly in a competitor versus competitor environment.

Prior to joining the legal field, Mikaela conducted research in mathematical epidemiology and constructed hardware for the gamma-ray based Very Energetic Radiation Imaging Telescope Array System (VERITAS). Her previous studies have equipped her with broad knowledge in physical, electrical, chemical, and biological sciences.
