Meredith Redwine specializes in defending pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in product liability suits. A partner in our Product Liability practice, Meredith represents manufacturers in large-scale, multi-district and mass tort litigation as well as individual product liability actions.
Meredith has substantial experience in representing large pharmaceutical and medical device companies in a variety of product liability actions in state and federal courts across the country. Her experience includes trial and mediation; working with expert witnesses in the preparation of scientific causation opinions; preparing and defending expert witnesses and company witnesses; deposing plaintiffs and prescribing and treating physicians; coordinating discovery; and briefing dispositive and procedural motions.
In addition, Meredith has engaged in large-scale product liability settlement negotiations, evaluating thousands of cases and claims, and structuring and managing settlements.
Meredith was named by Law360 as one of only five Rising Stars for Product Liability Litigation in 2017 and a 2011 Georgia Rising Star by Super Lawyers. Sheis a frequent speaker on issues relating to drug and medical device litigation.

Coloplast Wins Total Summary Judgment
Serves as core member of national coordinating and trial counsel team representing GlaxoSmithKline in nationwide product liability litigation concerning alleged associations between Paxil and birth defects, autism spectrum disorders, and suicidality. Ms. Redwine has experience conducting, coordinating, and managing discovery; drafting dispositive and procedural motions; and trial preparation as well as working with expert witnesses that have spanned a broad array of scientific disciplines (teratology, obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine, pediatric cardiology, developmental biology, genetics, and epidemiology). Ms. Redwine managed the docket of cases, including conducting discovery and formulating litigation strategy, concerning allegations that maternal use of Paxil caused development of autism spectrum disorders in children exposed in utero. Plaintiffs voluntarily dismissed the entire docket of cases.
Representing Coloplast as part of the team serving as National Coordinating and Trial Counsel in nationwide product liability litigation relating to injuries allegedly caused by the company’s female pelvic mesh devices.
Represented large pharmaceutical manufacturer in internal investigation regarding potential off-label marketing activities.
