Serves as core member of national coordinating and trial counsel team representing GlaxoSmithKline in nationwide product liability litigation concerning alleged associations between Paxil and birth defects, autism spectrum disorders, and suicidality. Ms. Redwine has experience conducting, coordinating, and managing discovery; drafting dispositive and procedural motions; and trial preparation as well as working with expert witnesses that have spanned a broad array of scientific disciplines (teratology, obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine, pediatric cardiology, developmental biology, genetics, and epidemiology). Ms. Redwine managed the docket of cases, including conducting discovery and formulating litigation strategy, concerning allegations that maternal use of Paxil caused development of autism spectrum disorders in children exposed in utero. Plaintiffs voluntarily dismissed the entire docket of cases.

Representing Coloplast as part of the team serving as National Coordinating and Trial Counsel in nationwide product liability litigation relating to injuries allegedly caused by the company’s female pelvic mesh devices.

Represented large pharmaceutical manufacturer in internal investigation regarding potential off-label marketing activities.

Advised large pharmaceutical manufacturer in potential ICC arbitration against Indian supplier relating to certain FDA actions and the supplier's ability to meet manufacturing standards.

Obtained dismissal of Vertical Pharmaceutical, LLC and BioDelivery Sciences International, Inc. in suit alleging that actions of various opioid manufacturers, distributors, retailers, and prescribers contributed to an "opioid epidemic" in Arkansas.

Successfully represented GlaxoSmithKline in Rader v. GSK, a case involving allegations that Paxil caused a congenital heart defect (Tetralogy of Fallot). After two weeks of trial, the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas granted a directed verdict for GSK for lack of evidence of learned intermediary proximate cause. Ms. Redwine also represented GlaxoSmithKline at two other bellwether trials in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas involving allegations of birth defects caused by Paxil.

Successfully briefed and argued motion for summary judgment on various grounds, including statute of limitations, and assisted in obtaining dismissal on Daubert grounds for GlaxoSmithKline in a case alleging that maternal Paxil use caused congenital bicuspid aortic valve. (K.E. v. GlaxoSmithKline, 2017 WL 440242 (D. Conn. Feb. 1, 2017)).

Obtained dismissal for GlaxoSmithKline of numerous claims, under Twombly/Iqbal, in a case alleging that Paxil caused adult valvular heart disease. Later, obtained summary judgment of remaining claims based on statute of limitations, and successfully briefed appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. (McLaughlin v. GSK, 2014 WL 669349 (W.D. La. Jan. 6, 2014) and 2014 WL 2200868 (W.D. La. May 27, 2014), aff'd 601 F. App'x 312 (5th Cir. Mar. 3, 2015)).

Advised large pharmaceutical manufacturer relating to marketing activities for vaccine product.

Obtained summary judgment for GlaxoSmithKline in a case alleging maternal Paxil use caused a congenital limb defect after the Court excluded plaintiffs' general and specific causation expert witnesses. (Frischhertz v. GSK, 2012 WL 6697124 (E.D. La. Dec. 21, 2012)).

Represented Merck Sharpe & Dohme Corporation in multi-district litigation in New Jersey federal court concerning allegations of a link between the company's osteoporosis medication, Fosamax, and atypical femur fractures.

Represented Purdue Pharma in an action filed by the Kentucky Attorney General seeking Medicaid-related costs and other damages allegedly caused by the company's marketing and promotion of its prescription pain medication.

Represented HealthSouth Corporation in a case alleging fraudulent transfer and seeking to enforce a multimillion-dollar consent judgment obtained against a former HealthSouth subsidiary.

Served as trial counsel and obtained a defense verdict for Nissan North America, Inc. in a case alleging injuries as a result of a defective air bag system. (Simmons v. Nissan North America, Inc., No. CV206-103, S.D. Ga.).
