Melis Coraggio is a consultant in King & Spalding's FDA and Life Sciences practice in the firm's Washington, D.C. office. She is a regulatory scientist with over seven years of experience as a scientific reviewer with FDA’s Center for Tobacco Products. Prior to the FDA, she spent ten years working in small molecule Drug Metabolism & Pharmacokinetic research and development to advise IND and NDA applications at Genentech, Inc. and Millennium Pharmaceuticals. Her expertise lies in harm reduction, focusing on tobacco harm reduction and the science and regulation of cannabis and other botanical drug products.
