Katesha Long is an associate in the Houston office of King & Spalding and is a member of the firm's Corporate, Finance and Investments practice group. She focuses her practice on advising domestic and international companies seeking to expand or relocate in the United States, as well as assisting with the purchase, sale and leasing of property.

Katesha has extensive experience advising companies across a wide range of industries, including corporate headquarters, manufacturing, distribution, ski resorts and large office deals. Long's multifaceted understanding of the real estate market extends to acquisitions and dispositions, campus planning and development, complex financing transactions and leasing. 

She helps her clients overcome obstacles, limit risks and seize opportunities through the development, purchase, sale and leasing of property.  She also works with new and expanding businesses in identifying and negotiating all aspects of a discretionary incentive package, advocating before the proper governmental entities during all phases of the incentive approval process. She negotiates and structures large incentive packages on behalf of global companies on a daily basis.

Long is appreciated for her strategy and long-term thinking. Whether analyzing and drafting lease agreements or navigating changing regulatory and zoning issues, Katesha prides herself not only on identifying long-term goals but also on thinking outside the box with fresh ideas and solutions. She collaborates throughout the firm to handle matters of  lease portfolios, economic incentives, risk mitigation, and strategic acquisitions. She understands that at the heart of any legal real estate project is a business question, and that each business is unique. She prides herself on connecting with clients, getting to know their individual goals, and anticipating their real estate needs in order to offer customized legal counsel.
