Jillian is an Associate in King & Spalding’s Data, Privacy and Security practice. She regularly counsels clients, including corporate boards and senior executives, on data privacy and security governance, compliance strategy, cybersecurity preparedness, emergency response, regulatory enforcement investigations, and data breach incident response. She regularly works with technicians and analysts to translate tactical risk mitigation steps into both actionable strategy for senior leaders as well enterprise-wide policies. She also advises public companies on filings, press releases, and other communications relating to cybersecurity and data privacy risks and security events.
Jillian is a member of the firm’s Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Task Force and the Artificial Intelligence Transactions Working Group. She also conducts training and education on risk management for emerging technologies, including AI, extended reality, and online profiling and tracking technologies.
Prior to her legal career, Jillian served eight years active duty in the U.S. Navy as a systems engineer and administrator, as well as a senior cybersecurity analyst. In addition, she supported the Intelligence Community and Department of Justice in cyber intelligence and cybersecurity policy roles.
