Hiroko’s practice focuses on resolving complex business disputes, with a particular emphasis on high-stakes construction, energy, and critical-infrastructure disputes.
She has advised corporate clients in disputes before federal and state courts across the country in both multiparty and class action litigations. She handles arbitrations under all major institutional rules, including the AAA, CPR, ICC, ICSID, JAMS, UNCITRAL, and SIAC Rules.
Her articles on dispute resolution have appeared in Chambers Global Practice Guide, New York Law Journal, American Review of International Arbitration, and ICSID Review. She has also been invited to speak on these issues at various organizations including the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Asian International Arbitration Centre, Harvard Law School, Columbia Law School, and New York Law School.
Prior to joining King & Spalding, Hiroko practiced litigation and arbitration in New York. While at Harvard Law School, Hiroko served as co-editor-in-chief of the Harvard International Law Journal and president of the Harvard International Arbitration Law Students Association.
