Gina Merrill is a partner in King & Spalding’s Global Human Capital & Compliance practice. Gina provides clients with practical guidance and insightful representation. Her practice focuses on defending management in high-stakes employment litigation and counseling employers on the range of issues affecting the workplace.
Gina defends employers in class and collective action proceedings and other sophisticated employment litigation, including proceedings arising out of alleged violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act, Title VII, ADEA, and Equal Pay Act, as well as other state and local statutes that concern the myriad issues attendant to employment.
In addition to her litigation practice, Gina regularly counsels employers on a variety of employment law matters, and she is highly experienced in conducting workplace investigations.
Prior to focusing her practice on employment law, Gina defended corporate and individual clients in a wide range of criminal and regulatory investigations and proceedings, and related civil litigation. She also has significant experience in securities and complex business litigation.
Gina frequently writes on issues affecting the workplace, and has co-authored articles regarding class arbitration and the use of statistics in class litigation.
