Elijah Staggers litigates claims involving consumer products, business services, and data privacy. He counsels clients in the technology, defense, automotive, and pharmaceutical industries, among others. He specializes in disputes that involve electronic, telecommunications, and cyber technologies for commercial and intelligence purposes. Elijah is a results-oriented leader with sound judgment and initiative. His clients and colleagues trust him to solve problems by efficiently managing resources, guiding team members, developing a strategy, and executing it to achieve the intended outcome.
Elijah graduated from Georgetown University Law Center. There, he served as Editor in Chief of the Georgetown Journal of Law & Modern Critical Race Perspectives, student attorney in the Appellate Litigation Clinic, and member of the moot court team.
Before joining the firm, Elijah served as a judicial law clerk to Judge James P. Jones in the United States District Court in Abingdon, Virginia. He also interned for Judge Paula Xinis in the United States District Court in Greenbelt, Maryland.
Outside of the firm, Elijah is a leader who is committed to service and expanding access to the legal profession for historically underrepresented groups. He is a member of the Board of Directors for the Federal Bar Association - Atlanta Chapter. As Vice-Chair of that group's Young Lawyer's Division, he leads a cohort of former law clerks and junior attorneys in planning professional development opportunities that feature members of the judiciary. He also co-chairs King & Spalding's African American Affinity Group, and leads the firm's Benham Law Camp for high school interns. In addition to civilian practice, Elijah serves as an officer in the U.S. Army Reserve Judge Advocate General's Corps. As an Army attorney, he specializes in internal investigations, administrative hearings and trials, and providing legal advice concerning cyber warfare among other areas of national security and operational law.
