David L. Stone is a Senior Associate in the Corporate, Finance and Investments practice group at King & Spalding LLP. David works with his clients to structure, negotiate, and close complex commercial real estate and finance transactions throughout the United States and across the globe. David advises owners, developers, investors, REITs, public companies, sovereign wealth funds, family offices, lenders and tenants in acquisitions, dispositions, joint ventures, financings, deeds-in-lieu, development, leases and other matters related to real estate. David's practice focuses on all real estate asset classes, including shopping centers, retail, mixed-use projects, multi-family/residential, offices, hotels, branded residences, leisure & hospitality projects, medical, distribution centers, student housing, marinas, and industrial properties with a specialty in industrial outdoor storage (IOS). David is completely client-focused and results-driven, and is able to see beyond the particular challenges of a transaction in order to serve as a catalyst to closing it. David has been recognized as a "Rising Star" by Super Lawyers for six (6) consecutive years - 2023, 2022, 2021, 2020, 2019, and 2018.
David is considered a thought leader and expert in implementing cutting edge legal technology and knowledge management capabilities in his law practice. In this capacity, David has given lectures and provided trainings to hundreds of other attorneys and legal professionals.
