Brittany Shaar is an associate in the Environmental, Health and Safety practice group in King & Spalding’s Atlanta office. Her practice focuses on environmental litigation and regulatory compliance.
Brittany represents clients in a range of environmental matters, including citizen suits, environmental enforcement actions, and government investigations. She has experience advising clients on law and policy issues including PFAS and other emerging contaminants, mobile source regulation, environmental justice, and climate change.
Brittany holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and French from Vanderbilt University and a Juris Doctor from New York University School of Law, where she was an Arthur T. Vanderbilt Merit Scholar. While in law school, she served as Editor-in-Chief of the Environmental Law Journal, and she received awards for excellence in environmental law and clinical law. Prior to joining King & Spalding, Brittany worked as an attorney for an environmental NGO, where she focused on coastal and water law issues.
