Alex has experience advising on compliance with data protection, cybersecurity, AI and other technology-related and digital regulations in the UK and the EU. Alex also works both on standalone commercial matters and advises on IP, data protection and commercial aspects of M&A transactions. Alex acts for clients in various sectors, including the technology, retail, aviation and life sciences sectors.

Alex has particular experience advising on compliance with data protection, cybersecurity, AI and other technology-related and digital regulations in the UK and the EU. Alex also works both on standalone commercial matters and advises on IP, data protection and commercial aspects of M&A transactions. Alex acts for clients in various sectors, including the technology, retail, aviation and life sciences sectors.
Alex recently returned from a six-month secondment to the Information Commissioner’s Office, where he supported the Information Commissioner’s policy and enforcement legal functions.
His previous experience includes:
- A U.S. technology giant on various significant cloud and strategic transactions, including on a US$2.8 billion cloud deal and strategic partnership over a 10-year period for next-generation data and analytics with a major financial exchange.
- A leading airline on the negotiation of various contracts, including engine sale and purchase, maintenance and repair, and engine lease agreements.
- A global technology company on the implementation of various EU Regulations, including DORA, NIS 2 and the Data Act.
- A major technology company on a pro bono contribution of an AI model to the United Nations.
