The Recorder Names King & Spalding Tech Industry Litigation Department of the Year

The Recorder has named King & Spalding its Tech Industry Litigation Department of the Year as part of its California Legal Awards program.

The firm’s California technology litigation practice focuses on key business protection and opportunity issues for the tech industry—e.g., platform liability; content moderation and Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act; worker classification and the gig economy; tech investigations and regulatory enforcement; marketing and advertising law; employee mobility and trade secret issues; and consumer protection and unfair competition laws. The team masters challenging technical issues and has a deep understanding of the business and priorities of clients, representing companies through the full life cycle of their business, from start-ups to mature Fortune 100 businesses.

Winners were selected based on significant litigation results obtained and by the impact within the profession, as well as emerging technologies, industries or legal issues, according to the publication.
