On December 15, 2014, we will be hosting a Roundtable Webinar to discuss Self Disclosures and Voluntary Repayments under Medicare. Taking a snapshot of a provider's or supplier's operations does not always result in a pretty picture. When a provider or supplier sees things that represent potential liability for overpayments, or under the Stark or Anti-kickback laws, it may be appropriate to do a self disclosure. In this 90-minute session, K&S attorneys will share their experiences and recommendations on formal and informal self disclosures and voluntary repayments. Following a brief session on fundamentals, various disclosure avenues and an update on the latest guidance and controversies surrounding the self-disclosure protocols, we will address practical self disclosure issues arising in the context of an acquisition, those relating to excluded individuals, and those relating to billing errors.
This Roundtable Webinar will be particularly relevant for any organization or individual who is or may be in a position to report a compliance or payment problem in a formal disclosure to CMS.
