LMG Life Sciences has named King & Spalding its 2024 Government Investigations Firm of the Year – for the third time – and FDA Litigation & Enforcement Firm of the Year.

The firm also was honored with the Impact Case of Year – United States award for its work in securing a defense verdict for Johnson & Johnson in Matthey v. Johnson & Johnson et al, the first post-bankruptcy win for Johnson & Johnson in the sprawling talcum powder litigation. The King & Spalding team was led by Morton D Dubin II (Morty), Matthew Bush, Val Leppert, Kathryn S. Lehman, Spencer Miles Diamond, Jake Keester and Brittany Litzinger.

King & Spalding’s Life Sciences and Healthcare industry team comprises more than 400 King & Spalding lawyers across the firm’s litigation, transactional and regulatory teams who devote all or a substantial portion of their practice to serving clients in every segment of the Life Sciences and Healthcare sectors.

Founded by former U.S. Attorney General Griffin Bell, the firm’s Special Matters and Government Investigations team exclusively focuses on white-collar criminal defense, civil and regulatory investigations, corporate internal investigations and investigations before the U.S. Congress.

The LMG Life Sciences Awards honor firms, individuals and companies behind the most innovative and challenging life sciences work of the past year as identified from research it conducts through surveys and interviews with lawyers and clients, as well as public information.
