Washington, D.C., December 19, 2023 – King & Spalding announced today that Stephanie Yarbrough, one of the country’s foremost economic development lawyers, has joined the firm’s Corporate, Finance and Investments (CFI) practice group as partner. She will be based in Washington, D.C. and will spend significant time in the firm’s New York office.
Yarbrough has been involved in many of the Southeast U.S.’s largest economic development deals over the past 20 years, advising domestic and international companies on their complex expansions and relocations, including those involving corporate headquarters, manufacturing facilities, datacenters, distribution centers and large offices. She has extensive experience in the automotive, life sciences and aviation sectors, as well as with navigating relationships with local and state governmental leadership and decision makers throughout the U.S.
“Stephanie’s work is highly sensitive and typically involves confidential and complex negotiations at the highest levels – which is the exact type of high value and highly differentiated practice we look for as we continue to build out and grow our team,” said Todd Holleman, leader of the firm’s CFI practice group. “Stephanie’s practice is very synergistic to what we are already doing and will provide for extensive opportunities for collaboration with our tax, real estate, corporate, IP, employment, environmental, international trade and lending teams.”
Yarbrough joins the firm from Womble Bond Dickinson, where she was a member of the firm’s global board. She earned her law degree from Southern Methodist University School of Law. She is qualified to practice in North Carolina and South Carolina and will obtain her Washington, D.C. licensure.
“King & Spalding’s platform gives me the opportunity to significantly expand how I serve my clients,” said Yarbrough. “This is a dynamic firm with world-class practices and I’m proud to be joining such an extraordinary team.”
