NEW YORK, May 30, 2024 – King & Spalding announced today that Chris Duffy has joined the firm as a partner in its Business Litigation practice group. Duffy is based in the firm’s New York office.
Duffy focuses on high-value, highly sensitive and complex commercial trials, appeals, pre-litigation disputes and government investigations. He represents a diverse range of clients with an active focus on financial institutions and cross-border disputes.
“Chris joining us is another critical step in expanding on our strong foundation for financial services litigation in the New York market,” said Damien Marshall, co-leader of the firm’s Business Litigation practice group. “Chris is an elite trial lawyer who has earned the trust of major clients to lead their cases to trial in front of juries, judges and arbitration tribunals. He is an energetic team player who will deepen and solidify crucial client relationships for the firm.”
Duffy joins King & Spalding from Vinson & Elkins, where he was co-leader of the commercial litigation group. His work is regularly recognized by leading industry rankings and surveys including Chambers USA and The Legal 500 US. He earned his B.A. from the University of Virginia and his J.D. from Columbia University.
“I am thrilled to join King & Spalding’s market-leading litigation practice as it continues to reach new heights,” said Duffy. “I have known and worked with many of my new K&S colleagues for years.
