Trial and Global Disputes partners Lana Varney (Austin), Julia Zousmer (Chicago), and counsel Heather Howard (Atlanta) will speak at the Defense Research Institute’s (DRI) annual Drug & Medical Device Seminar on Sept. 8-9 in Nashville, Tenn. Lana will be addressing multi-party litigation during a presentation entitled “United We Stand: How to Stay Hinged at the Hip Ethically and Collegially in Defense Groups.” Heather will be presenting on the amendments to Federal Rule of Evidence 702 and their impacts on experts in drug and device litigation as part of a panel presentation titled “Jambalaya: Hot Topics in Drug and Medical Device Law.” Julia will participate in a panel during the Young Lawyers Blockbuster on “MDLs for Young Lawyers: Early Days, Discovery, and Bellwether Selection.” King & Spalding is also a sponsor of the event.
