Our energy practice has been involved in many pioneering projects and cases around the globe during this past year so we are very pleased to have the practice recognised by the industry.
The judges were impressed by the breadth of customer projects taken on by the firm and, in particular, its strong presence in LNG as well as the expanding global presence of more than 250 energy lawyers in 17 offices worldwide. The judges also highlighted the firms lead roles on large LNG projects in Africa, including Damietta LNG in Egypt, Mozambique LNG and Tanzania LNG as well the firms strong energy disputes practice, headlined by the $500 million award against the Republic of Kazakhstan following the seizure of petroleum assets operated by Moldovan investors in the country.
