backLONDON, April 1, 2025 – King & Spalding announced today that Jonathan Swil has joined the firm’s International Disputes practice group as a partner. He is based in the firm’s London office.
Swil advises financial institutions, corporates and professional services firms on a host of UK and cross-border disputes, with an emphasis on the financial services industry, as well as insolvency and other complex commercial litigation and investigations. He has been involved in several high-profile cases, including the trial of one of the largest financial frauds in history and one of the most important anti-suit injunction and arbitration claims of recent times.
“Jonathan is a great fit for us, as his experience with high-end litigation and his background representing financial institutions taps into two of our firm’s key strengths and allows us to continue to build on them in London,” said Wade Coriell, co-leader of the firm’s International Disputes practice group. “The convergence of contentious financial services regulatory enforcement and litigation is a growing issue for many major financial institutions, and adding Jonathan further reinforces our ability to help clients navigate these challenges.”
Swil joins King & Spalding from A&O Sherman, where he was a partner. He previously led the London litigation practice at Shearman & Sterling. He received his undergraduate degree and his LLB from the University of New South Wales, Australia.
