Northern Virginia Technology Transactions and Sourcing associate Dirk Lasater and Corporate, Finance and Investments partner Tom Knox will speak at the Association of Corporate Counsel National Capital Region in a panel titled “Legal Risks in Modern Software Development” on June 22. The panel will address current software development methodologies, including Agile (Scrum, Crystal, Extreme Programming (XP), Feature-Driven Development (FDD), DevOps, and Rapid Application Development (RAD) and their differences from the traditional waterfall development model, and discuss open-source software (OSS) risk in connection with the use of more iterative development methodologies, and discusses the risks and opportunities associated with use of artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML) in connection with software development.
