Dr. Jonas Schwarz is a counsel in King & Spalding’s Frankfurt office and member of the firm’s Private Equity practice. Jonas’ practice focuses on M&A and complex and high profile domestic and cross-border restructuring and insolvency matters and other situations involving financially distressed businesses.

Jonas Schwarz represents private equity funds, family offices and large corporates in German and international transactions, including M&A, restructuring and insolvency matters. Jonas has extensive experience in advising debtor companies/managers, creditors, shareholders and investors on a broad range of crisis and insolvency matters as well as on financial restructurings – both, within and outside of insolvency proceedings.

Prior to joining King & Spalding, Jonas worked for Bub Memminger & Partner PartGmbB as well as for other domestic and international law firms including Linklaters LLP where he was involved in advising on numerous complex restructuring and insolvency proceedings. Earlier in his career, he also gained insights into the legal department of J.P. Morgan AG in Frankfurt am Main as part of a secondment.
