Coordinating all aspects of discovery in defense of manufacturers in product liability and toxic tort litigation, including assisting clients with document collection efforts and selection of e-discovery platforms, managing large-scale document review, production, and privilege log projects, and working closely with IT and litigation technology support personnel, as well as vendors, to achieve cost-effective results for clients

Acting as pre-trial discovery liaison with national co-counsel firms, including coordination of document review and production efforts pursuant to multi-district pharmaceutical litigation and related government investigation, resulting in review of 325,000 documents totaling nearly 9.6 million pages, as well as service of nearly 4,000 document privilege log.

Preparing budgets, project proposals, defensible review protocols, and status reports for case counsel regarding document collection, review, production, and privilege log projects under his management.

Conducting training and mentoring of attorneys in multiple matters involving pharmaceuticals, tobacco products, petrochemicals, automotive, and other manufacturing companies, including instruction on case background, client industry-specific issues, and utilization of electronic review databases.

Managing foreign document collection and review efforts, including assisting with overseas review site set-up and compliance with European data protection laws and best practices, as well as managing multinational team of document review attorneys.

Managing and coordinating all facets of pre-trial discovery in commercial litigation, including cases involving issues relating to indemnification, construction litigation, oil & gas royalties, and post-bankruptcy disputes.

Coordinating pre-trial discovery efforts in construction litigation involving review of nearly 380,000 documents and resulting in production of nearly 150,000 documents totaling more than one million pages.

Managing and coordinating personnel in toxic tort matter involving review of more than 200,000 documents representing nearly 3 million pages.

Managing privilege log team drafting approximately 10,000 separate entries for oil & gas client privilege logs in multiple litigation matters.

Coordinating with IT and litigation technology support personnel to develop review, production, and privilege log protocols and database search criteria for large-scale electronic discovery projects.

Drafting responses and objections to plaintiffs’ discovery and subpoena requests in toxic tort litigation.

Due to Mr. Panos’ extensive knowledge and experience supervising and training attorney review and privilege log teams and collecting, reviewing, producing, and privilege logging documents, he has become familiar with many litigation support systems such as TCDI’s ClarVergence, FTI’s Ringtail, Relativity, Concordance, iPro, Introspect, Case Central, Microsoft Access, and iConect’s Xera.
