Evelyn Pereira is an associate in King & Spalding’s Washington D.C. office and a member of the firm’s FDA & Life Sciences practice. Evelyn assists medical device, pharmaceutical, food, beverage and supplement companies with regulatory, compliance, litigation and enforcement issues. From 2016 to 2024, Evelyn served as a Biologist in FDA’s Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition (CFSAN) where she led emergency preparedness and response activities for FDA’s outbreak investigations associated with food, cosmetics, and dietary supplements. In that role, Evelyn managed investigation teams consisting of FDA subject-matter experts and local, state, federal and international regulatory and public health partners. Evelyn provided subject-matter expertise for food traceability assessments and coordinated inspections, product sampling, recalls, public advisories and industry engagement. Evelyn has provided outbreak response trainings to state, federal and international partners and has authored multiple publications.
