Qualified candidates will have demonstrable proficiency in antitrust, shown through prior matters, ABA Antitrust Law Section activity, law school coursework, or pre-law employment. Candidates must have strong academic credentials, and excellent writing, research, analytical, and communication skills. Prior government experience is preferred, but not required.

Environmental, Health, and Safety

Type of Experience: King & Spalding seeks an associate with 2-4 years of experience for its Environmental Health & Safety practice in one of the firm’s U.S. offices, including Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, or Washington, D.C. Qualified candidates should have experience with or interest in a broad range of environmental issues, including environmental enforcement and compliance matters, environmental litigation, and due diligence. Local bar admission is required, in addition to superior academic credentials and excellent writing, research, analytical, and communication skills.

International Trade

King & Spalding seeks an associate for its dynamic International Trade practice in the Washington, DC office. Qualified candidates will have 2-4 years of experience in international trade and import compliance, with substantial experience and understanding of import issues unique to U.S. Customs enforcement, including customs prior disclosures, free-trade-agreement origin determinations, HTS classifications, entered value determinations, ruling requests, protests, forced labor and supply chain matters, audits, and investigations. Government experience will be viewed favorably, but is not required. A strong academic record, interest in direct contact with clients, exceptional writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment are required.
