The closed-end investment fund in the legal form of an investment limited partnership (InvKG), which has been introduced with the German Capital Investment Code (KAGB), is developing into an interesting alternative to well-known open-ended investment funds of the contractual type (Sondervermögen) for institutional investors. However, the set-up of a – usually externally managed – InvKG often represents unknown territory for many involved parties.

As part of an impulse presentation, we would therefore like to familiarize you with the fundamentals of the corporate and regulatory structuring of an InvKG. We would like to take a closer look at the relationship between the legally independent InvKG and the capital management company (KVG) as its external manager, which is particularly relevant in the context of the Service-KVG model.

We would like to exchange our practical experience with you in a joint discussion.
