Tooch represents hospitals, medical groups, physicians, pharmacies, laboratories, surgery centers, and home health companies in arbitrations in federal and state courts. With decades of trial experience, he has tried over 100 cases before juries, judges and arbitrators in federal, state and administrative courts. In 2017 and 2019, he obtained the second highest verdicts for breach of contract cases in California. Representing all types of healthcare providers, he has recovered hundreds of millions of dollars against health plans in jury trials, arbitrations and class actions.
Tran has over 20 years of experience in international arbitration. He is among the few first-chair trial and arbitration lawyers with active U.S. and Southeast Asia practices. He has handled complex disputes relating to construction, energy, real estate, and other investment projects before the major arbitral institutions. In addition to his international arbitration experience, Luan is recognized as a leading attorney in ownership and partnership disputes between co-founders of technology companies, recovering over $150 million on behalf of plaintiffs in such matters.
