NEW YORK, Feb. 7, 2024 — Law360 has recognized King & Spalding’s Construction practice as a 2023 Practice Group of the Year. This is the fifth time the firm has earned this recognition.
In its profile of the practice, Law360 highlights the group’s successful work, including advising Reficar in a landmark matter securing a $1.9 billion arbitration award for the company in a case stemming from cost overruns at a Colombian oil refinery. It also cites the group’s efforts in advising Samsung in its under-construction semiconductor fabrication plant near Austin, Texas, acting as both contracts and disputes counsel. The plant is the largest private infrastructure project in the state.
Law360’s Practice Group of the Year awards “honor the law firms behind the litigation wins and major deals that resonated throughout the legal industry in the past year,” according to the publication. This year, Law360 selected the winners from nearly 800 nominations provided by 84 law firms. In addition to being named a Construction Practice Group of the Year, the firm is also recognized as a 2023 Practice Group of the Year for Energy and International Arbitration
