backFRANKFURT, June 22, 2023 — Managing Intellectual Property magazine has honored King & Spalding with its Impact Case of the Year Award at the annual Managing IP Awards 2023 EMEA ceremony. The firm received the award for its work advising Novartis in a pharmaceutical packaging victory against Abacus Medicine. The matter was led by partner Ulf Grundmann and counsel Elisabeth Kohoutek.
The awards celebrate in-house, firms, individuals and corporations behind the “most innovative and challenging intellectual property work of the past year, as well as those driving the international market,” according to the publication.
Managing IP’s research for its awards and rankings is based on interviews with partners, clients and surveys completed by law firm partners and in-house counsel active across Europe, Middle East and Africa.
