HOUSTON, April 25, 2016 — King & Spalding advised Kinder Morgan subsidiaries Elba Liquefaction Company, LLC and Southern LNG Company, LLC, in the development of a contract for the engineering, procurement and construction of an expansion their Elba Island LNG facility located near Savannah, Georgia. The expanded facility will be capable of producing 2.5 million tons per annum (MTPA) of LNG and will include LNG export capabilities. The value of the transaction, which was announced on April 5th, was not disclosed. The contractor on the project will be IHI E&C International, Corporation.
