King & Spalding LLP acted as counsel to Mirabaud Asset Management to acquire the Leonardo Building, a Grade-A office in Crawley, near Gatwick Airport, and known as VHQ, the global headquarters and main pilot training facility for Virgin Atlantic Airlines. This was the first real estate acquisition for the Swiss asset manager, and marks the start of its UK real estate strategy. Mirabaud Asset Management, a subsidiary of Mirabaud Group, is focused exclusively on asset management and provides institutional clients and financial players such as banks, independent asset managers and family offices with access to a broad range of funds and mandates and to asset allocation strategies backed by a solid investment process.
