Join us for our two-part client seminar on environmental justice.
Environmental justice (EJ) is one of the most important environmental issues facing companies in the United States today, second only to and closely intertwined with climate change. EJ is also rapidly becoming the most important “E” issue in the Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) movement that is gaining traction among companies, regulators, and the public at large.
Now more than ever before, every lawyer—whether specializing in regulatory compliance, transactional law, financing or litigation—needs to understand EJ, how it is regulated, how it surfaces in litigation, how it impacts transactions and how it can be managed in all things legal.
Session One will cover EJ in agency permitting, agency enforcement, and tort and environmental litigation.
Session Two will cover EJ in transactions, including due diligence, agreements, financing and public disclosures.
