Ta, who is based in the firm’s San Francisco office, is a sought-after trial lawyer and lead counsel who focuses on consumer class action defense, intellectual property, international arbitrations, trade secrets misappropriation, and other high-stakes, complex civil litigation. The Daily Journal highlighted her efforts in representing Walmart in a wage-and-hour class action suit, winning a motion for judgment in a patent infringement case for a software company and another consumer class action suit challenging the amount and quality of protein in a popular brand of bread. Ta was also recognized in the publication’s 2020 and 2021 Top Women Lawyers in California list.
Voigts, who is based in the firm’s Silicon Valley office, has worked on cases before the U.S. Supreme Court, the California Supreme Court, and federal and state appellate and trial courts. She has nearly 20 years of experience handling appeals and critical motions practice and routinely advises trial teams on complex legal issues in a wide range of cases. In profiling her, the Daily Journal noted her work for The Gap in a class action accusing it and other retailers of illegally sharing individual customers’ transaction data, winning a motion for Shutterfly in a California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) litigation matter and obtaining an injunction blocking an Alabama statute that makes it a crime to seek certain medical care for transgender children.
