NEW YORK, Aug. 7, 2023 — Benchmark Litigation has once again named King & Spalding partners Dixie Johnson, Carmen Lawrence, and Tracie Renfroe to its list of the Top 250 Women in Litigation. The list honors women lawyers who “have earned their place by participating in some of the most impactful litigation matters in recent history as well as by earning the hard-won respect of their peers and clients,” according to the organization. All three lawyers have been selected for inclusion in the list since its inception in 2012.
Johnson represents businesses and individuals in securities enforcement investigations and conducts internal investigations for corporate board committees and companies. She appears regularly before the SEC, DOJ, FINRA, PCAOB and other federal and state authorities. She is Deputy Practice Group Leader for the firm’s Government Matters practices.
Lawrence focuses on securities-related government investigations and litigation, representing public and private companies in a range of securities-related regulatory and business matters. Lawrence is co-lead of the firm’s Securities Enforcement and Regulation practice.
Renfroe has a national trial practice focusing on toxic tort, environmental, product liability and commercial disputes. She represents clients in the energy and manufacturing sectors around the country. She is Managing Partner of the firm’s Houston office.
The lawyers were chosen through several phases of research, including individual litigators’ professional activities, client feedback surveys and one-on-one interviews.
